CONTEXT

​CONCEPT

​

THE IDEA was to create safe and beautiful place, which connect all generations. Elderly home and kinderten share space, which is devided to two parts - park and playground made by contrast between greenery and pavements. Also this space is available for local people as well, same like planting boxes, which can be rented by locals. Both buildings are turned away from the street next to them, they are opened to a greenery and view to Ajuda and Belém.

FLOORPLAN

Kindergarten has two floors, first floor is for two classes. Upper floor works as kitchen and dining room with separate entrances. Oriented L shape allows sun to come in. Also was necessary to create shading, that is made by pushed facade inside and by lamels. Cheerful colors are added to neutral colors of the facade. Each class for kids has own color, which is used in exterior and interior as well.
